outfshn
I am new to the tackle making scene, and just finished the process of pouring and painting all the jigs and spinnerbaits. Now it's time to make the skirts, with all of the different color skirt tabs available, I was wondering if some of you would share some of your favorite skirt color combinations? Thanks for your help!

MDC
Black/Blue and Black/Red are standard. Browns are good and white is good for swimming jigs. Get a couple of shades of brown and mix with a little black. Try mixing plain white with a white that has some glitter. Buy a small assortment and mix and match. Hold them together to get an idea of what they will look like before putting on a collar.
Shawn M
I prefer to band my own for SBs, just like making my own combinations. If I had to pick 3 colors that seem to work best for me, I'd go with white/chartreuse, white/black and bluegill (many folks have there own versions). For jigs I like using brown and black colors. lilcraw
You can't go wrong with a straight Black jig anywhere in the country, your best bet is to go to your local bait shop and ask what's there best selling colors for your area are and go from there......... My faves are Black, Black/ blue and Green pimpkin in off colored water in clear water it is hard to beat a brown with about 5 strands of purple......... Good Luck <"))))))))))><
