jigmeister
With the good (US made) flat strand living rubber being hard to come by I have been contemplating attempting to dye some to get the colors I want . I have a bunch of flat strand ,fine , purple rubber that I would like to turn brown . I know from pouring worms that you can combine black and orange coloring to get brown but not sure about turning purple to brown . Anybody have any experience in this dept. ? Thanks -Jigmeister
Cgraff
What an Idea ! I don't know if that will work but I'm going to keep an eye on this thread and see what people say. I'm probably going to start looking around at different dyes and see if its possible.
microtek60
I have both old living rubber and brand new living rubber and there is absolutly no difference in the two. Are you against the round stuff or do you just prefer the flat.
Mr B
I too have learned to love the Froghair Round rubber. I also use the regular grade round rubber for buzzbaits. I die living rubber all the time. The orange is usually too bright so I mix a little dark brown RIT dye in some very warm water. It only takes a few seconds to make it burnt orange. It comes out very nice. Rinse it very well and pat dry w/ paper towel. I do this also w/ the fluor red. Mr B
