BassSniperLures
If anyone out there pours tubes in a mold I need a little help. I use Del's tube mold and as long as I'm pouring soft plastic I'm ok for the most part. The problem I'm having is with the "tube" plastic. Whenever I pour it and pull them out I have a section of the tube missing . I tried heating up the mold and holding at an angle but still to no avail. Any tips would be appreciated. charkins
Welcome to the club. I am having the same problem. I have been able to pour some tubes with LC 502 plastic without adding any softner, but no salt. I preheat the mold and lube the inside of the mold with worm oil. I reheat after I pour each tube. Delw
This year has got to be tube mold problem year. We been selling them for 3 years now and had 1-2 problems, in the last 3 months we have had 3 people have problems pouring. The molds are the same and I am sure the plastic contistancy is the same. are you guys running the alum rods or the ss rods? ( did you get your mold with alum rods or the stainless steel rods?) let me know I am wondering if that is the problem. Ive sent molds out using ss and alum, more recently ss. I have one other thing that works but need to verify it before I post it. Delw
BassSniperLures
i believe mine to be SS. Don't know for sure but they are shinier and harder than aluminum i believe. I just bought it last month if thats any help
charkins
My rods are aluminum. Does that make a difference?
Delw
well I was thinking it did, but since you have alum and bass has ss I don't know. I have 5 more going out this week I will pour some with both rods and see, thanks for letting me know what type of rods you all have. gtlegs
Del, you have great customer service, it never fails when a question is asked about your (or other's) molds, you chime in and help. If (more realistically when) I start pouring plastics you will definetly have my business. -Trey
Delw
Gtlegs, we try but I am still about 3-4 days behind on phone calls and 7 days behind on emails. things are getting much easier to handle though. Thanks Delw
