robbor
Its been talked about that most wholesalers and distributors only want to sell to an actual tackle shop(store location and pic required) are there any that dont require this? Also who are the major tackle wholesalers/distributors? Or do you end up buying direct from the manufactures?
microtek60
it depends on what you are trying to buy. If you call hagens they dont ask questions. What are you looking for and maybe I can help you.
rsinyard
Like Micro said it all depends. I buy my powder from component systems, my hooks from shorty's, my skirts from GLC and my blades from Hagen's. But Purefishing, Do-it, Izorline all want you to have an actual Brick and Mortar store before they will sell to you. There are also a lot of guys here with connections that can help you get most of what you need.
microtek60
Shorty's lets you buy without a tax id #!
rsinyard
I think it all depends on what kind of mood the companies are in. I was talking with a customer last night that wanted to buy powder from me and I said if he wanted bulk that Component Systems would sell directly to him. He said he had already talked to them and they wanted a Federal Tax ID #. I said that was odd because they had never asked me for one. This seems to be the case with Shorty's as well. They always ask me for my Federal Tax ID#. And they don't ask Micro for his.
