BBC
What dyes/formulas are you guys using to get black and blue plastic? I am trying to make jig trailers and black and blue beaver baits but my black is really smoke and my blue is pretty translucent as well. Is there a good dye out there that makes good colors without using half the bottle? Thanks, Eric
Dungeonhawk
i use LC black and it only takes 15-20 drops in 4 oz of plastic to get a real nice dark color. If you are trying to dye a white color to black, it wont go all the way, it will smoke on ya. Blue, I use LC california blue and i like it, to darken it i just add a drop or two of black
jmik26
I have found LC colorants to be very potent. I use 20 drops of LC Jet Black for one cup of plastic and its very dark. Other manufactures I would have to use 125 drops of black to get the same results . The only blue that I found and like is LC california blue and fluorescent blue, those two mixed make a very nice blue. Hope this helps....Jeff
