Kozak
Which would you prefer for a final coat (after primer and acrylic paint). Polyurethane Clear Gloss or Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy? Most of you may prefer the epoxy but does anyone know if the Polyurethane would work almost as well? thanks
Kozak
Can somone please tell me? I'm at the final stage and don't know what to use. Also, if I use epoxy what do I apply it with? A paint brush?
kenneth266
Go ahead and use devcon if that's all you have. Any medium stiffness, non-shedding brush will work, just make sure to rotate it after.

BobP
Epoxy - the specific product is critical to get the right work time, leveling and clarity. Many use either Devcon 2 Ton or Envirotex Lite brands. For a fairly large popper, the thicker clearcoat of epoxy will work just fine. Since a popper doesn't bang much cover, polyurethane is also a viable option IMO but it can be hard to find tough non-yellowing polys. Whichever, brush it on.
