Trout Spinnerbait

Recommended Posts

Actually all of the lakes I fish have trout, with the exception of some of the smaller ponds off of the Owens River. I'm kind of in the middle of nowhere, have to drive a while to fish. I fish Isabella, Castaic, Pyramid and the Owens. Sometimes I get to make a weekend trip to fish the San Diego area. Castaic and Isabella both have bass in the BASS top 25.

I would have to say yes. My knowledge is limited to what I have read about most of them. I'm only referring to the So. Cal lakes. I don't know anything about the No. Cal lakes other than which ones are good to fish. It's not uncommon to fish in 60-75 of water in the winter time in So. Cal.

Most lakes in california and even along the colorado that are stocked or have trout in them along with bass or stripers are more likely to use giant swimbaits. Although I am lucky to have one of those trout spinners which i used last week at Lake Mojave. Many lookers but no takers.

That is a super looking bait !! I know it'll catch bass here in CNY but I've seen big bass spinners catch perch, trout and pike, too. I'd love to try one in some of our trout waters in hopes of catching a few. It'd definitly be a thrill. Great work!!
