Fat Ratz
California has a pretty good supply of trout I here. Any of the bass lakes you fish have trout in them?
woodsac
Actually all of the lakes I fish have trout, with the exception of some of the smaller ponds off of the Owens River. I'm kind of in the middle of nowhere, have to drive a while to fish. I fish Isabella, Castaic, Pyramid and the Owens. Sometimes I get to make a weekend trip to fish the San Diego area. Castaic and Isabella both have bass in the BASS top 25.
Fat Ratz
I recognize Lake Castaic for the big bass that have come out of this lake. I believe this a fairly deep lake. Are most lakes in CA deep water lakes?
woodsac
I would have to say yes. My knowledge is limited to what I have read about most of them. I'm only referring to the So. Cal lakes. I don't know anything about the No. Cal lakes other than which ones are good to fish. It's not uncommon to fish in 60-75 of water in the winter time in So. Cal. chirmy
Most lakes in california and even along the colorado that are stocked or have trout in them along with bass or stripers are more likely to use giant swimbaits. Although I am lucky to have one of those trout spinners which i used last week at Lake Mojave. Many lookers but no takers.
PaBasser
Awesome!!!!!!!! That is possibly the most interesting paint scheme I have ever seen. Great Job. PaBasser
Big Splash
That is a great lookin' spinner, Fat Ratz. I know it'll catch a lot of fish out here... and we don't have bass here!! Check the gallery for photos of bull trout caught on spinnerbaits.
Maze
That is a super looking bait !! I know it'll catch bass here in CNY but I've seen big bass spinners catch perch, trout and pike, too. I'd love to try one in some of our trout waters in hopes of catching a few. It'd definitly be a thrill. Great work!! Maze
