Delw
Hot plate is 10 times better than a microwave for a few reasons. in the microwave the plastic wont cook perfectly all the time, the bottom and sides will not me mixed and will stick to the glass ( if you let it sit for a while and constantly stir it it helps) A microwave has a small area that traps moisture cause problems as well your plastic will come out allot clearer and brighter when cooking on a hotplate. microwave will trap moisture bubbles, a hot plate will burn them off. one other thing to consider is the best way to cook plastic is in an oven (toaster oven works) as you get heat applied to all sides. Ive seen plastic cooked all different ways and a over is nice but its combersome(sp) one nice thing about a microwave though is the speed, but at the same time most of us over look whats the best way and go with speed. If you use a hotplate make sure you goto a camping store and get a plate of some sort to put on the hotplate, this will keep the pan heating evenly and stop the burning. the burners touching the pan will cause the plastic to burn in some areas , if you take a metal plate or a 1/4 piece of alum or steel and put it on the burner doesnt touch your pan and will distribute heat evenly along the bottom reducing your burning by 75% Delw Delw

Gloomisman
both, I use a microwave for baits like senkos. Easier to do. All one sided molds hotplate.
Green_Fingers
Hotplate! But I have been looking for a cheap microwave so if I want to do three colour pous I have my main two on the hotplate and do a small amount of the third colour in the microwave, and pour that first. At least thats the idea..
wannabefishing
Microwave for me... can pour 12 cavities in a stix mold with 1 cup and no reheats, quicker and more consistent... also much easier for me to pour fine details using an anchor hockings cup then an LC pan for some reason...
