Kickerfish
I've read quite a few posts on how to paint scales on a bait. Let me tell you this: I use mesh fabric I bought at Wal Mart and put it in an embroidery hoop fastened in a vise and it makes for beautiful scale patterns on crankbaits. It's much easier than trying to wrap the mesh around the bait and hold it while you spray it. All you have to do is hold the bait behind the mesh and spray it-it works like a charm! I have a few embroidery hoops here at my store if anyone is interested in purchasing one. Kickerfish.
siebler_custom_baits
Great idea. With my new line of wirebaits coming out i wanted to do scales but figured it to be too much trouble in large qtys. This tip just gave me a whole new prospective, I will have to modify some but the gerneral idea is so obviouse yet so overlooked by many. Thanks for the tip.
