Grey Wolf
Just found this website. I am intested in getting into painting crabkbaits. What do you reccomend for an air brush, and paints, clear coat etc please. Is there a site you can direct me to?

goldenshinner
say im new to the site also. actualy ive searched your archives, and dont find a good beginners tutorial on painting 101 for lures. also painting is perhaps the most important fundamental customizing that a custom bait has. I would benifit from a disscusion on compatibility of various medias, and long term stability and what causes paint failure.(besides oily hands and non-preped surfaces). I have a few realy nice musky baits that never saw the light of day, that the paint job just peeled off of them. for no reason. I suspect that the guy got cheep and painted cheep water based acrylics and them top coated, with something that was incompatible. some type of cheep low bonding clear coat. any recomendations would be helpfull. thanks
