whibley
Is there any way to paint scales with a brush? I tried the netting on an old one and it all ran together. Any one have any ideas? Or is there a way I could do a blue gill pattern without scales, and with a brush? Thanks for any suggestions. MaddoxBay
When using netting its best if you spray the paint on the light side. That will prevent the paint from getting too thick and running together. It takes some practise but once you get it you will be doing it in your sleep. Vodkaman
Just a thought, not tried. Try lightly dabbing the paint on with a small piece of sponge, using the netting.
nova
That would apply the paint unevenly.(sponge) As stated; you have to apply the spray lightly and evenly. www.novalures.com
Hoodaddy
Theres a method in doing ceramics called dry brushing. If you are using waterbased paint....load your brush lightly then brush out a lot of it on a peice of cardboard so you only have a light color on it then try brushing over the netting. This method will probably not work with anything but waterbase. Give it a shot and let us know how it worked.
