brew
Has anyone on here seen or own a mold for snakes? Looking for something in the 6-8 inch range. Thanks
Travis
I have some 10 inch "snakey" baits. They work very well when worked around pads and thick brush near the shore line. Also have done well carolina rigging them at times. I made mine but lure craft likely has something along those lines. The size you are looking for basically will be covered by a straight tailed worm. I work my 10 inch lures sort of slow walk the dog action resulting in the bait to look very snake like. A little sculpey and you should be able to make a fairly good snake representation and make your own mold if you wanted.
Lingerdog
We took a piece of plaster that had already set up I had laying around, just carved a little back and forth for the body and made a head on one end, just poured in the plastic and it looked pretty good in my test pan. My brother took the three we made to test them out and see what kind of mods we need to make. In the test pan, a little jerk would straighten the lure out and then it would resume its shape, looked pretty darn good. I'm wondering about pouring softer formula in the curves of the snake to make it's action really come to life.

Delw
snake molds are cool , if you use very soft plastic and pop a few of the floating bubbles in it they work excellent. the best plastic for snakes is the stretchy plastic (forget the exact name of it) how ever it doesn't work very well for the hand pourer. siebler_custom_baits
Del you must be reffering to the Cyberflex. Only melts with direct heat (no micro) powder coloring only. Stringy as hell when you pour it. With all the new powder colors LC has released youd atleast have a little more range in color options than when it first came out.
