Dweller
I have been using a Stainless wire called 303 stainless which is kind of soft. Is there a softer stainless? If so where do I get it and does it come in straight lenghts? I would like to stick with stainless but if I have to go to copper is 18 ga good and what do they call it (single strand)? And where do you get it? Thanks again for the help!
BobP
I get soft stainless wire from mcmaster.com and use .032" for line ties on bass baits. It's only slightly stiffer than soft brass wire, very easy to work, and holds up well during fishing.
LedHed
McMaster/Carr also sells SS wire in various pre cut lengths.
Husky
McMaster/Carr also sells SS wire in various pre cut lengths. Go to a local welding supply house. You should be able to pick up a pound of 3 ft. SS welding rods for under 10 bucks. I usually opt for the .045 dia. while a lot of the Striper guys go fo .0625.
