deadlystreamer
Good answer to a loaded question Jim, I think civicdx needs to get a little more specific about what he needs or wants to know.

Gr8flyz
How about a Rabbit Strip Worm to start with? I use a piece of rabbit strip about 4 inches long, tied to the butt end of the hook shank, add about 6 strands of flash, then wrap the hook shank with Estaz, cactus chenille, or a large size chenille, and I usually tie this fly with leadeyes so it's weighted & the hook rides up. You can tie it in any color you like. Another good bass fly is a Rabbit Strip Leech, tied the same way as the Worm, but wrap the hook shank with cross cut rabbit strips to form the body instead of the chenille. I like lead eyes of these too. Another fly that I like is a variation of the the Worm, with rabbit strip tail, tie a collar of Arctic fox, but tie it back towards the rear of the hook shank, then wrap the shank with Estaz, cactus chenille or large size regular chenille, and add lead eyes. All three of these type flies can be tied without the lead eyes, and you can add weed guards if you want. I use a Mustad Ultra Point hook to tie these on, that Mustad sells as a "Denny Brauer Flippin' Hook" (32807BLN) and tie them mostly in size 1/0. I have a bunch of bass flies as I said before, take a look at my website, if you see anything else that interests you, I would be glad to tell you about it & how it's tied. I hope this helps! Big Splash
Hey Jim, that rabbit strip worm is becoming a poplar Steelhead fly here in B.C. It's tied with a long pink tail, and a black full-palmered hackle. They call it "Steelie's Nightmare"
Gr8flyz
Big Splash, what can I say, there are so many different variations of rabbit strip flies! They just plain work! I've tried some of the worms in pink colors, (Bubblegum) sometimes the bass like them too!

civicdx
any ideas for some good and pretty simple stripedbass flies other than a clouser minnow??
Gr8flyz
Try a Seaducer. It's a simple fly, and easy to tie, plus it's also a great bass fly. You can tie them in any color you wish! The only fly I can think of that's simpler would be a plain bucktail, which will still catch plenty of fish!
