microtek60
I make alot of spinnerbaits and am trying to start spraying more and was wondering what is a good top coat for these that can be sprayed on.
reeves
I use clear lacquer, only I don't spray it on, I just dip the whole bait - hook first - and let it hang to dry. I reduce it with a little MEK to about the consistency of say milk, and you really can't see it on the hook once it is dried. I have read that it yellows over time, but have never seen this to be true, and I have been doing this for several years now. It can be sprayed if reduced to a sprayable viscosity if you prefer. And oh yes, it gives the spinnerbait a very nice high gloss finish.
clamboni
I use 2 ton. just paint it right on. If you get a nice thin coat you don't even have to turn it while it's curing.

ominousone
is dick nite's paint powder paint? Is the clear topcoat able to be mixed w/his glitters? How about is the topcoat durable? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to figure is all out.
dampeoples
His paint is laquer. Never tried to mix the coat with glitter, but I don't see why not. Yes, it's durable
