Ive noticed since ive recently started swimbaiting that some lures are outragiously priced! 250-350 dollars for a trout?!?!? Just last sunday at Lake McClure I lost a 20 dollar bass harraser and cringed (as well as almost 30 dollars worth of tackle ). If the weather was a little warmer I would have swam after it haha. Boy I tell you, I felt such a rush on that first cast watching it fly threw the air. Just the thought of the possibility of hooking and catching a huge bass was almost too much and made my heart pump like crazy. I finally caught my first swim bait bass (2 pounds) yesterday on a hand poured 4 inch swimbait. Chartreuse with fine gold flake belly, smoke with fine red and black fleck for the top. I was trying to immatate the cosmic debris color of the big hammer tails. Also had an 8 inch fish try to eat it as well as a 4 inch fish bitting at the tail.
