civicdx
what kind of paints do you guys recommed for painting spinnerbait heads and blades???? thanks
dtrs5kprs
I use powder on heads, and don't paint blades. Faster to buy them painted, may add some FC clearcoat and flake then spin on the turner for a while. Powder is a little awkward but works well. Would have to go with vinyl for spraying. Celticav
I like acrylics, laquers, and some enamels; auto paint is fast becoming my favorite. Powder is wonderful too... Like dtrs5kprs said the powder is a little awkward though. Any kind of paint will work but its the topcoat that counts the most, your paint job doesn't even look that good till you put that topcoat on!! I use Devcon 2ton, I don't spin it, I just hang it and let it dry, any excess ends up as a long drop running down the hook shank. Flex Coat is alot thinner and probably needs the turner, but either one will do the job. JIM
