Senkosam
I just opened up a bottle of Lurecraft's motor oil dye and it looks black. It also doesn't look like m.o. when mixed in melted plastic. Does that mean black was put into the bottle by mistake? Sam
alsworms
All my motor oil looks unmistakably like motor oil; not black at all. You can tell just as soon as you start mixing the stuff. It looks like a light brown in the bottle, and will turn a tannish green once you start mixing it. Just call Dave and he'll make it right with you. Chris
Senkosam
Thought so. Thanks Al
earthworm77
It is dark Frank. I wouldn't say black though. More likely a brownish. Did you pour with it?
Senkosam
Yes Craig, but not into clear. I'll give it a try. If it doesn't come out greenish brown (irridescent) it goes back.
the_hide
Mine Lurecraft motor oil is black, very black. I'm looking at the front page of their catalogue and thats the color its supposed to be, not at all the "motor oil" we have come to expect in other similar products. Senkosam
If the bottled color is black, what colors due you mix to get true motor oil irridescense? I'm thinking chart. and ? Sam
chirmy
The MS motoroil comes out just like the store bought worms. I would go to them for a bottle. Motoroil with a gold flake is awesome.
Jackllbass
Hey Senko Sam, I did the same thing you did, I bought the LC motor oil and it was not like the other motor oil I had bought from them. You need to buy the motor oil changeable color, this is the old motor oil color, kind of greenish or a clear oil color, depending on the light. Hope this helps. Senkosam
JackL, can I get the 'old' mo from LC? Sam
Jackllbass
Hey Senko, Yes you can, just ask for the motor oil changeable color. When I got the blackish brown motor oil I reordered the changeable one. I did not know they had two motor oils. crawfish
you can get the same motor oil color mixing chartruese, amber, and purple. Those are the colors used to make the greenish color motor oil. Hope this helps. thanks, Gary
