kidlizard
I have heard of this before and it works. However for people pouring baits you can also sprinkle flake onto the bait before it sets up and it gives you the ultimate sparkle effect. The only problem is it only gets one side. ................Hey I guess I could sprinkle the mold first then sprinkle the outside.........duhhh Sometimes it just takes me awhile....... alsworms
Another neat little trick is to sprinkle your cavities with silver or holograph flake, then pour a smoke pepper over that. You can also mess around with different color flakes to match the baitfish in your area. This idea came about when I was sent a sample grub a few years ago. I couldn't figure out how just the upper portion of the tail had flake in it. Then I realized the manufacturer must have placed the flake in the molds before pouring (DUH!). Senkosam
Flakes were sprinkled into the mold (mostly tail) and on top of the hot plastic (tail's surface). The tail's flash is like throwing a spinnerbait! Sam
