saint308
I know we discussed this to some degree on here before, but I do not know if we came to an answer. Does anyone know why green glitter turns blue so easily. Green seems to change colors on me way more than any other color. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent it? Thanks. Saint. nova
I assume that you are putting green glitter in chatreuse plastic. That will turn blue in the right light. www.novalures.com

saint308
Nova: It was while pouring junebug. James I understand what you are saying, but why does green change colors? I do not do anything different in cooking green glitter than I do with any other glitter. Black, red, blue and purple never do this, just green. Thanks. Saint. james bradshaw
I'm not sure why Green bleedes off to blue, but some purple and gold glitters bleed off the color easily as well. I have had suppliers send me purple and gold glitter that they had claimed would hold up to 340 deg, but the glitter wouldn't even handle 320 deg for 20 minutes. Then they all tell you that either you went above the temp that they claimed, or they tell you that they have never had anyone complain about the glitter bleeding or curling! I trashed two gallons of plastic because I trusted what the supplier had told me. I have had the green glitter turn blue, but I had run it too hot for a long time. I guess what I am trying to say is dont trust what the supplier tells you, Try your glitter, colorant, plastic, etc, in small batches before you mix a bigger batch. Find out for yourself what the product does!
Richard Prager
Senko Sam's Kelly Green and lime green will not turn blue even after several re-heats. If it doesn't turn blue on me, it won't turn on anybody! Who's got the best purple????
wannabefishing
i also use SS Kelly green, on top of being brighter then the LC green, it doesn't turn blue after several reheats... the only thing it will do is curl, but that takes alot. 152nd- i find SS's purple to be the best, never tried Dels, but do have LC's and SS's seems to hold the colour longer, i use tonnes of purple and fuschia and like SS's the best...
