kenshomi
I am trying to make my own skirts using living rubber and a collar tool. I put the collar on about in the middle of the skirt. When I slide it up the jig, the forward facing skirt trys to stay forward. It doesn't bend back on itself. Same thing in the test tank (goldfish bowl) 50% or the forward facing strands stay forward. Old man in the boat
Is the skirt pushed all the way up to the jighead? Doing so should cause the skirt to flare at a 90 degree angle to the hook shaft.

TTDuckman
I would collar at about 2/3rds as well, placing the skirt on long end forward. The short lays straight. The top bends over, giving you the same length due to the arch of the top half of the skirt. Tim
