mikel7@mac.com
I Bought Some Hitchikers From Barlows And They Were 12 Cents A Piece. This Seams A Little High To Me. Anyone Know Where I Can Get Them At A Better Price?
Old man in the boat
hagen's 1-800-541-4586 has them for something like $60.00 a thousand.
WidowMaker
Hagens Hitch-Hiker prices as indicated in their 2006/2007 catalog are: $65.00 per 1000 count of the larger size. $59.15 per 1000 count of the smaller size. With the recent dramatic price increases for brass/copper it wouldnt surprise me if there hasnt been a cost increase added to the catalog prices. cadman
Mike, I just received an order from Hagen's two days ago. Widowmaker is right it's $65.00 per thousand + 10% excise tax if you don't have the tax # + shipping. My total was $78.53. I do have a question for you guys. I separated mine, into 100 lots, to sell to my club members. I was short 30 hitchhikers. I called them up, and asked them if they count them before they sell them. She said no,they get them shipped by the 1000 lot. I then asked her how do they know if they aren't getting cheated. No response. I was surprised, as it seemed that she didn't believe me. She said she never had anybody complain about this. They are supposed to send me the additional 30. Do you guys count your merchandise. I know this sounds trivial, but I normally don't either. It just so happened that I separated them as stated above. Thanks Ted
TTDuckman
Cadman, I believe that they will repackage for you for like $.50 per bag. I would gladly spend the $5 to not have to count them out for 10 separate bags, they would likely catch the short that way as well. JBlaze
You can make your own fairly easy using .032 soft stainless wire or with a little more cuss'in and fuss'in you can use the spring steel wire.#$@%% J Blaze
