What makes a Senko a Senko

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, I don't post here, and know nothing about pouring plastic. This is my question. I have a lot of club members that want Senkos, that are exactly the same size, color, and softness to the original Senkos. I do not plan to get into making these. How do I go about finding someone that can give me exactly what I want. If I am going to give these to my friends they have got to be dead on. Please PM me, or if you choose to post then go ahead.

You won't find them "dead on". The guys that are hand pouring them, the pours are slightly thicker than a senko. The guys that are injecting them, they don't have the same salt content and/or softness to them.

If you want "dead on", well....you are going to have to stick to the original.

That being said, I have seen several hand pours that can put a senko to shame. I've also seen some bad knockoffs, too.

Good luck on your search. Please let us know if you find what you are looking for.

If yu drop a G.Y. senko in water next to one of the senko style baits that most of the pourers you find in this forum make and you will know the difference right away. Hand pours have much better action by far, but are still subtle the way a senko is. Hands down I would take a good hand pour over the origional. Thats why I started pouring them last year and I noticed the catch rate went up enough to make a diference.

I'll bite! I would agree with the guys by saying the hand pours are much better. There are also a ton of people that make them and you have to be carefull so you don't get junk. I would trust anybody on the TU site for some good sticks though. I can pour just about any color Stick that you need in a 5 1/4" for a decent price, send me an IM if your interested.
