printertom
Hey guy just wondering how much salt to put in a trick worm if any. I got so work up over that order thing. That i Forgot to tell you that last week i built a presto pot myself. That's the only way to go don't buy one on ebay. They are over price bad by time you pay shipping. They want even more money to put it on the bottom in the center of the pot. It's very easy to do it 23 dollars for the pot and 10 at the home depotfor the brass and i borrow the tap from the auto garage next to my work place. Took ten mins or less to put together. Works great but having a little trouble with the making a drill press slow enough to stir. Do not wire a dimmer switch to your drill press it will heat up the motor to about 5000 degrees and stop working in about 30min. There a post in here that says something about that happen but in the post there were mix reviews about it and i have allows been one of those guy that had to learn things the hard way. So tommorow a router speed control will be here i'llseeif can't wreck another drill press motor never thought it be so hard to build a slow stiring thing wow it been a real adventure the past couple of months since i join this site i built 8 by 16 foot room in my cellur and stole all my wife kitchen stuff spent about two grand and broke burnt and hurt about every thing else i have thanks guy it been fun Thank to tackle underground my hobby/LITTLE SIDE MONEY lot more fun. thanks

saint308
Printertom: I use the same formula for trick worms that I use for sticks. 1.5 TBS salt to 4 oz. plastic. Saint.
printertom
Thanks Saint i'll try that you pour your stiks a little light is that becasue you like a softer bait. Got the router speed control to day haven't check it out on the drill press yet. Got a good feeling that home depot going to get another bust drill press though. Because on the box it says not for use on capacitor start motors and i'm pretty sure that drill has a capacitor start on it, but don't know a lot about motor. Think the capacitor is thing on the side of the motor under the round cover on the side of the motor but what the heck i going to give it a shot. Ottam make sure if your going to pour in the house to spent big bucks on ventaltion don't by the 12 dollar nutone fans get the high dollar ones and a range hood little pricey but well worth it. That the number one I hope your pot has 3/8 valve on it unless your grind your salt that the minium i would go del said a half inch i think that could be a little crazy but you could get the hang of it i think. Also if your wife has A kicthen aid 9 speed hand mixer with the wisk attachment that baby runs prefect in my lee pots. plan on that cost you dearly. ottoman
Thanks for the info i was thinking of the drill prees too. but i will go with the hand hald blender intill i get the pot down. My trick is to buy my wife a new and better kitchen aid then take her's. thats how i got the micro. also i went with the range hood plus i pour in the barn. saint308
Printertom: i do pour my sticks a little light on the salt. My baits weigh about 11g. The water we fish down here is about 4-5 ft deep. So I want a slower falling bait. Saint.
thomas
So Thomas, You got a set prints for the presto pot? thomas
printertom
no prints need i can tell everything go to wal mart buy a pot then go to hardware store buy 3/8 nipple with the nut in the middle and a ball valve then hard part finding a tap thats big enough isn't easy at your major home depot or lowe but try to find someone that has one. take a 9/16 drill bit drill a hole in the center of the pot then tap the hole and theard the nipple in and add the valve use plumbers tape and presto you have your self a stik pour machine now as far as a good stirer that still a major work in progress the router speed control is a bust on a drill press took about five min tell the motor start smoking yea that right smoking not good idea don't do it the drill press is next thing is to order a low rpm motor install in on the drill press becase i like the option the drill press brings i'll get one way or another i don't give up with out a fight. longhorn
I've been melting a bunch of zoom finesse worms lately and they don't appear to have any salt...none shows up in the bottom of the pan like it does when I melt senkos...the new zoom labels says "better than salt" whatever that means. miles
okay, for the trick worms i would go with just a little salt. a lot of Zooms baits have a little bit of salt in them. the packages that say 'better than salt' dont have salt in them. the ones that say 'super salty' have a light amount of salt content. i have no clue how much though. saint308
I am pretty sure the finesse worm has salt, but I may be wrong. Saint.
