finlander
I am thinking of getting some hammered spoons from Stamina. Are there some markers available that I could color the edges or tint them and the color stays put? Has anyone experimented with this??? Thanks! dayooper
Finlander, We have been starting to use powder paint to color the edges of our salmon spoons. The candy powder paint colors work real well. After the spoons are cured, the paint will never chip off. We have shot a video on how to powder paint jigs and spoons and are just waiting to get it back from our video guy. As soon as we get it back, we will have a link to it from our web site. Where abouts in Michigan are you located? From your screen name, I would say up in the UP. Benjamin
finlander
Nope. I just be Finnish'd right here in West Michigan, yust like you. I want to stay away from the powder right now. Looking for a quick method for coloring. Like doing it now if i wanted to try it in the am.
Mac10
I've colored leadhead jigs with Sharpie Permanent markers. On a shiny surface it will color, but leaves some of the shine of the surface showing through giving it a metallic look. Easy to apply and re-color when worn off. Also works to color hooks if the original finish of the hook isn't bronze, but rather has a shiny look to it such as Bass Pro XPS hooks.
