BassnRandy
I saw that thread also and thought about something with a beaver type bait. I wanted the claws however on my bait. But yes he has an outstanding looking bait also.
dampeoples
Nice looking bait Randy, Jim was telling me about those, they look better than he described!
GB GONE
Just had to chime in as Randy's bait and Ted's baits are once again taking it to a different level and bringing anglers a unique looking, hand poured bait. One difference in the baits is that Randy hand pours his skirts as well as the bug portion. He has worked real hard to make a great bait and has a passion for hand pouring. He thinks I helped him but he has reminded me of why I hand pour baits and love it so much. For that I owe him my thanks!!!! Jim
jmik26
Looks good, we are testing a similar bait.
BassnRandy
Those are nice looking baits. How long are they? Don't want to much credit on mine. The bug part is Del's mold. I made the skirt molds and put the two of them together. And Jim I think this more like an obsession than a pashion.
jmik26
Why not take the credit? I think it looks like a great bait and never seen one like it, beaver fans should love it, keep up the good work. For anybody that has not used skirted lures like this, you have to try. They work great year round, alot less weed less then a jig, and you can control how fast or slow they fall. For mine I worked with Shawn Collins on the design of the craw, I think its 4 1/2 inches. The skirts I designed and had cut buy a friend. The two together have been really rewarding. We are still working on the hardness / softness of the bait to get optimal action. Hopefully they will be on the site soon....
Predator Bass Baits
Ya I like your skirt better as well, nicely done, how did you make the mold ? and if it is a 1 piece mold then it must take a bit of time to pour it.
BassnRandy
I cut a circle out of a binder. Put a piece of senko worm collar in the middle. Glued flat tooth picks down at 90 degrees till I had 16 legs. The I poured good old Durhams water puddy over it and away I went. Got to do a bit of trimming but the legs have more meat to them than alot of skirts do. I intend to have Del make me up some aluminum molds to the dimensions as soon as I get some extra cash. The legs will be a little more uniform that way. But the bait works. Caught a few smallies 2 days ago and they sucked it right in.
