HAWGHUNNA
Anyone poured/fished tha 4" Swim Bait that Bob's Tackle Shack has? I am wanting to pour some swim baits...I like the look of Zack's design on this mold, but haven't heard any reviews on the action. Also...I don't see any way to pour a belly to back laminate with it...only body one color with different color tail,if it were designed with belly on one side of the mold and back on the other...I would have already gotten one. GB GONE
I have Bob's swimbait mold and you are correct on the belly to top pour. The mold splits side to side instead of top to bottom. The bait is a good one with a lot of action rigged on a 1/4oz or 3/8oz head. You can crank it as fast as you want and it will not roll over. I have caught plenty of fish on that bait but nothing big (yet)!!!
HAWGHUNNA
Thanks guys, I saw the L.C. Blue Gill mold...I should have mentioned that I'm interested in a 2 pc.
Pop
Why a 2 piece? With a one piece you could pour multiple colors. I made a resin mold and it makes great swim baits. The only problem I have at times is getting the tail (large spade/paddle type tail end) out of the mold. I would assume, aluminum would make it easier.
