Jigsbydirk
Question for the pourers. Instead of using worm oil can I use liquid scents like the Liquid yum scents or other prepared scents you usually put on your baits qhile fishing. Thanks for any advice. dampeoples
For what purpose is the oil? The Yum stuff, at least the stuff I have seen, is colored, and would stain your baits if they are light colored.
baj435
If you are talking about for storing and not pourning than yes. i use a few of the diferant oil based sents in my storage bags. ie bang, fish formula etc. The non oil based products such as power bait and others like it dry and leave a readue on you baits. I have never used YUM before and do not know much about it.
Jigsbydirk
dampeoples, I was wondering about using the scent to put on the baits after I poured them and put them in bags.
dampeoples
I would look for a clear(er) color scent, I used to have some of the Yum, and it was green, even stained the baits! If you want to scent baits in the bag, try the concentrated stuff like the Lurecraft scents, a drop or three will funk up a whole bag of baits. wannabefishing
i use kick'n'bass to scent my baits, but i just roll them in salt to store them in bags/containers... makes life alot less messy lol

TheBaitPhotographer
Yum, in whatever color is probably going to stain your baits. Years ago I used it on baits and frequently had issues with my lighter colored baits taking on a purple hue. I'd suggest talking to Ted from HappyTime Hand Pours (user name - Happytimehandpours). He uses Upperhand Hawg and Bass Sauce and tells me that its very good. Drop him a line, I'm sure he could give you some good info.
bassassazzin
This is exactly why I developed Upper Hand Scent/Marinades. To many soft plastics smell like plastisol. My scents ( 8 ) are made for adding to your bag to make them more appealing to bass. I have some incredible testimonials from anglers throughout the country. As mentioned, Ted from Happytime Hand pours, Jim from Ghost Baits, Randy from Catch me a Hawg Pours, Jim from Predator Bass Baits, D.J. from West Coast Custom Tackle and many others use it just for that purpose. http://www.gobassin.com/bassscents.html Doug
