Need advice on purchasing a scale

Recommended Posts

So I have one of those $20 Rapala scales which I thought was decent until I weighed a 5 pound plate and it said 3.9lbs? So now I'm searching for a scale that will read accurate weights. I saw some that went up to $130 which is not out of the question, just want to make sure its worth it. I only bass fish so a scale that reads 0-30lbs would be ok. Are digital scales less accurate then the spring type scales? Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated....Jeff

The only scale to get if your tourny fishing its a CUL-M-Rite.

http://www.culmrite.com.

Guys spend 40k on a boat 30k on a truck, 5k in rods and reels and then buy a cheap 40 dollar scale. A good scale is a precision tool, it will make the difference in your first win.

the don't make the cheap on anymore the price is 199 if I remember correctly. Ive been using them for years and they are worth everypenny. before that I was borrowing my buddies
