skeeter jones
I was wondering if any one has tried to make a reverse crank bait. I am playing with the idea of a lure that is weighted that will sink to the bottom and then upon retrive will shoot up to the surface. Im not sure where the weigh should be placed. I was going to place a lip on the top of the lure. I've use some chatter baits and they have the lift but not the profile . Any ideas or info would be great. Vodkaman
No need to change the design of a steep lipped, shallow swimming lure, other than increasing the ballast. Just allow it time to sink to the depth you want.
Palmetto Balsa
I have seen a flatsided bait with the lip and all that the guy put the chatter blade on the nose tie and used the blade as the line tie. I just looked at it. He and another guy claimed that it worked.
