White Frogs

Ok, I need some help here. I am trying to pour some white frogs in Del's buzz mold. However, in order to get the plastic hot enough to fill the feet I have to put it right on the edge. MOst of the time the plastic begins to turn. This leaves me with full feet, but not the bright white I am looking for. If I do not heat it up enought it is bright white, but the feet are messed up. So how do you guys handle this? Do you use heat stabilizer? WOuld stabilizer allow me to get it hotter? Can stabilizer be used in a microwave? Obviously, I have never used stabilizer before. Ok, food for thought. I decided to try to pour some white trick worms. I am using MF SS for the trick worms and regular for the frogs. Well, I was able to get the trick worms much hotter without scorching. Any ideas? Could the fact that there is some salt in the trick worms and not in the frogs matter? I am clueless. Saint.

I don't have that frog mold but I do pour alot of white frogs. I go 2 1/2 minutes on high and then 30 second intervals until it is ready to pour. After that I can usually reheat up to 3 times for more pours before it starts to yellow. I use MF regular and have never used stabilzer. You might try heating the mold before pouring. Does this mold have vents?

use heat stabilizer and it will keep mf plastic from burning.

heat stabilizer is the first thing to burn off, usually in 10-15 mins, so you need to add some every 20 mins

Heck i have no problem with the white and i don't add stabilizer. the frog mold I have has a small diameter and when pouring two colors in it, it is even smaller. I need the plastic super hot. adjust your microwave settings and reheat in small intervals, I can reheat two or three times before it yellows.I am thinking a pot may be the way to go to just keep what i need in white heated up, then again I don't move a lot of white baits

So your saying put the power on 5 and use shorter bursts? You think that will take care of the problem? Thanks. Saint.

I use the high setting all the time. Make sure you remove the cup from the microwave as it will continue to cook if left in there.
