Celticav
I spent a friday nite at home last night (which is unusual around here) sipping a few cold ones and piddling with some stuff. I glued some rivets in one end of some old halloween beads. When that was dry I forced a large hollow metal bead in the other end to hold the bead level on the wire. You can't see the bead in the pic well but it is there. This is just for looks and does not add any sound or action to the bait or intefere with the blade in anyway, I just thought it looked cool, LOL. I call this the Death's Head Buzzer, do you like it or does it look gimmicky? ....or maybe I just have too much time(and beer) on my hands...JIM
BassnG3
I hope it doesn't scare the fish! Looks pretty cool nice conversation piece I would think. BassnG3
Coley
And they talk about me. Unusual to say the least. Coley
Celticav
BassnG3: I thought it looked cool too, What part of southeast Ga are you in? We probably fish some of the same waters from time to time. Coley: I think we both lean toward the unusual in our baits, thats what makes them unique, JIM
Art Brush
That's a rockin lure Jim. Do you have alot more of those beads? One with yellow and orange flames on the delta blade with a matching skirt colors would give it a rockabilly look. I know a couple of fellas in Tennessee who would love those! BassnG3
I live in the southeast corner of the state off of exit 3 on I-95. I fish the Altamaha River near Brunswick and alot of areas in NE Florida. My local water is the St Marys River I don't fish it that much, it is tough fishin' to say the least. I do go from time to time to some of the bigger lakes in GA when we have an away tourney. BassnG3
Mylures
Very Creative Celt. If its the beer, whatever gets those creative juices flowing. Keep up the good work. Remember, its nice when a lure catches fish, but its more important that they catch people first. Ken Schmitz
deadlystreamer
Spooky looking Neat Jim, It'll scare the little fish away and the big ones will attack it to show the little ones it's not to be afraid of. You might have a good thing going there. I can see there is trouble in your house with your wife trying to keep the Halloween stuff away from you and the bait-making table. Just think it's almost time to make turkey trebles. I got the three you sent me Jim and they are great. Very nice work indeed. Thank you. Celticav
ArtBrush: I have more of the beads , I made about 50 for future baits. BassnG3: I know what you mean about tough home waters, but I keep plugging away on them anyway, LOL. Mylures: My thoughts exactly, I think it was a mix of beer and boredom, heehee, a dangerous combination at any time. DeadlyStreamer: I am glad you like them, let me know if you ever need them replaced or want more, JIM
dtrs5kprs
Like my two year old said after seeing Finding Nemo..."Ooh, scared me!" Was that one of those micro-brews?
Celticav
Actually it was a micro-brew from the atlanta Ga area called SweetWater Brew, how did you guess, JIM
