lilcraw
I want to get started making spinnerbaits for my own use, I want the Hildebrant Blade style meaning the heavier blades not those light tinny ones BUT when ordering out of a book you can't tell what you are getting till it arrives at your door and then it is to late. Can anyone out there direct me to page # and/or models and such to get me on the right track in the Stamina Catalog. I am buying the Do-it mold and mainly want to know about the blades and swivels and size wire forms that would duplicate the Go Getter Hildebrant Spinner bait. Tired of paying all that money when I know I can make them a whole lot cheaper. I have made jigs and silverbuddies for years now so well adversed with the pouring and hook ends of it, just need help with buying the right components that I want. Thanks for all the help in advance.
Fatman
Theres an aution on ebay right now for 15 packs of Hildebrandt spiinner blades. The only difference between most spinner blades and those from tackle parts cats. is the plating of the blade. The more premium of a blade you buy the closer you'll get. Other than that go to their web sites and try to buy replacement packs of blades. Fatman
jigfisherman
I think they use something close to piano wire for there wire, but the blades they use I have found are sized lttle bigger than the others you can order. For example there #6 col blades are about a 1/16in bigger than a standard #6 I order from Barlow's or Jann's. That and the price is about the only differance I see. smalljaw
If you buy the Hildebrandt brand blades you'll get the same blades they put on their baits. You will need to know the size of the blades you want but if you're not sure just check out their site and it should tell you what size blades they have on what size bait.
