bassman843
just wondering what molds you guys like best for curly tail worms or ribbon tail worms
One Sock
I have a zippy, curly tail worm mold, think it's one of Bob's. It works great as long as your plastic is hot enough for a thin stream, excellent on a drop shot rig
GB GONE
Del's 7" curltail worm is like a finesse curl tail worm and it catches the crap out of the fish!!!! I will go to that worm in a tournament if I am not getting bit and always come up with a fish or 2..... Jim PS Not hard to pour either..... BBC
I have Del's mold as well. I like it but I have trouble getting the tail thin enough to have enough action for my liking. I also made my own mold of a curl tail worm (6") that I like. I think an RTV mold is better when dealing with curl tails b/c you can get the tail thinner and they have more action then. Just my 2 cents. Eric
Delw
Eric , do you pour out of a pan or out of a pyrex? you can get the tails really thin pouring out of a pan, just fill the pan about 1/4 of the way so you can pour a fine line. if you have some time the best method is to lay the mold on a griddle and heat it to about 250 degrees then pour the plastic in the tail, it will help the flow making it as thin as you want. you are right though RVT works really well for pouring extreamly thin tails
BBC
Del, I can pour thin tails if I have the mold sitting on a burner or griddle. To me, it's an unnecessary step and use of energy if I can get similar results with an RTV mold. Eric
Tubeman
#306 Curl Tail worm from Lurecraft is one of the best I have used. Not a pretty worm, but it has the most amazing action. Also makes a great jig trailer when the body is chewed up.

dampeoples
If you can find a mold for it, that little basic ringworm with a tiny tail is just an awesome worm.
bassman843
I found it I wasn't looking in the right spot for it I didn't see the curl tail worm section in the worm section when I first looked at it
