smirkplug Posted June 26, 2007 Report Share Posted June 26, 2007 I don't know how to downrigger for crappie but, i like old garage sale parabolic fiberglass rods. Their bend works even with a cannonball, and i use braded line with no stretch to it and let the whippiness of the rod play the fish, good luck.
