bassrecord
Does anyone have any suggestions for bending .015" guitar string wire? I'm trying to make double loops in the middle of 5" pieces that go through MOJO drop shot sinkers that are tied below Rodney Long's Wiggle Rig. His bungee line is tied to the loop at the top of the sinker, the wires go through the sinker and are flared out to snag the wire on the lake bottom holding it to wiggle. In order to make the loop, I've tried wrapping the wire around a nail in my vise holding one end in vise grips and the other end in my hand, or pliers. In most cases either the loop was crude and uneven or the wire bent or both! Since I do not have any wire wrapping jigs or tools, how can I make good even loops? Thanks, John
Fatman
Jann's Netcraft has a great little wire forming tool that you attach to your workbench and it will make every kind of bend you need. About $20 comes with a book of wire tricks and definately worth it. have had mine for 12 years and it's still going strong. Fatman
