Vodkaman
Are you using the correct tools for the job, or freehanding. A fly tying vice and a few hackle clamps (not sure of the correct name), make the job so much easier by keeping everything tight. Also the tools enable you to let go of everything without it falling apart. A simple starter book to fly tying will help enormously.
Matt Becker
I tied a few before, you have to wrap around the main shaft rright below the eye, then put 1 feather between each hook, (do 1 at a time, and wrap it about 5 times before doing other one.) Then tie and glue. Mine worked/looked great.

Fatman
Man I wish I had a digital camera to take step by steps on how to do feather trebles and hair jigs. They really are easy to do but photo's are the best. If you can get Ken Oberechts book jig making he has a good section on tying bucktail jigs. I'll see if any of my buddies can take photo's. Spike-A-Pike
I've tried taking a few... I can't hold everything I'm doing on the hook a get the picture taken without the old one handed blurr. There is a tutorial on tying bucktails, but the photos are gone due to the Great Site Crash of 2006.
