ragfly
Nice looking setup. What is the end of your paddle made of? Did it scratch up the teflon liner of the pot or do you have the height set just off the liner?
saint308
Raglfly: I am not sure what it is called. I found it by the angle iron. Below is a picture of the bigger portion and also a pic of the sticker with the description and bar code. As for scratching, the stirrer is a about 1/4" from the bottom and about 1 1/2" from the side of the pot. Hope this helps. Saint.

saint308
I had two good pots and one bad. I am still trying to fine tune it. I am leaving for Denver on Wednesdy, so I will not be using it until next week. Saint.
Smallie
I had trouble finding the drill guide at Harbor Freight so I thought I would post the link to save anyone else interested in making one. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=95622 Just in case the link doesn't work, it is ITEM 95622-0VGA Dave
saint308
Here is a quick tip for cleaning the pot. We all have had some glitter that stayed stuck to the bottom after pulling the old plastic. Here is what I do. I find some old plastic (like white frogs that are too yellow) and wipe the pot with it. Most of the glitter will stick to the plastic. For the pieces that stay, I spot hit it with the plastic and it comes right off. Saint. bassbug
Saint, How is the new pot working? What plastic do you use? What baits do you pour with it? Sorry about all the questions, but that new pot of yours looks great.
bojon
Great set up!!Some good thinking went into it,and my guess is,when you get it fine tuned you will really kick butt with production.Again,a great job. I have to say when I saw the pics at first I thought that the background was a garage door.Boy did it ever look massive.Getting old.LoL
saint308
It is working fantastic. I am pouring MF plastic both regular and SS. I pour mostly trick worms and toads, but I do a fair amount of sticks as well. Thanks. Saint.

Richard Prager
Saint, Nice job! What size spout are you using and do you find that you need to preheat up your molds before you pour? What temp setting on the Presto Pot are you using and are you finding certain colors tend to scorch before the plastic runs out? Thanks, Richard

Richard Prager
no luck on the seeing the pot. Are these pots already modfied etc. If so where do buy one , price etc? Thanks This is very good site! Send me you e-mail address and I'll send you the pics. I can also send you directions to make your own as well or you can buy the Presto Pot already converted from Ozark Tackle
saint308
Richard: That thing is stock from Bob at Ozark. It is a 1/4 " ball valve. I do not heat up my molds. I typically put the around 325* except for my frogs. I pour those around 350-360*. The only color that concerns me is white, but I will just put less plastic at a time so it isn't in the pot as long. I hope this answers your questions, if not please feel free to ask whatever. Saint.
