ottoman
Having a little trouble with the salt turning yellow in the bag. It takes a couple of weeks with certain colors then it turns yellowish in the bag. Any help. Thanks folks.
Delw
Salt will absorb any oils /residues, if your using worm oil that is probally the culprit as worm oil will turn yellow if left in sunlight .
dampeoples
I'd like to add that it might be scents (if you're marinading them), but i think that's what Del was saying. A good question would be why are you using the salt? It will keep the baits from sticking together, like oil will, but there is no need for both. ottoman
Yeah I basically add a little worm oil and scent into a big bag, then shake the salt (yeah I know the salt on the out side is for show but it seems that where I am- salt on the out side is important to the customers) Should I lose the worm oil and stick with scent then shake the salt. Thanks folks
dampeoples
IMO you should lose the worm oil, as it turns colors. The scent will color the salt as well, if it soaks it up (depending on the scent, of course!)
ottoman
So should i lose the scent and the oil? is there something else i should put in for the salt to stick.
Joe S.
The salt will stick to your plastics with no oil or scent, and that will keep your baits from sticking together
