I just started putting my own jigs together last week. I ordered some painted lead jig heads, skirt material, collars and rattles. After a bit of fumbling I figured out how to assemble a skirt. Here is a picture from my first batch: Now that I can put them together I'm ready for the next level: Painting my own jig heads. I am not ready to start pouring lead yet, but maybe that will be next I posted a message on the jig message board and got some very helpful information, now I just have to wait for my order of supplies to arrive:whistle: Thanks to everyone on this message board for sharing their knowledge and posting the amazing photos in the gallery. In several weeks you'll be like the rest of us hooked, and coming up with wild and crazy schemes, trying to fuel your imagination. Don't worry the better you get at it the more obsessed you will become with this. However that's really not a bad thing after all. BTW job well done on your jig, now go catch a fish with it. I think I'm obsessed already The funny thing is, I started this to save money on jigs but I just placed an order for supplies that probably cost more then all the jigs I've ever bought!
