bassgreg
Just started pouring and I am and doing ok except for two colors. The first one I am having trouble with the blue in Aarons Magic, is it Blue, pearl blue or Hi lite Blue? I only have blue and it is not right. The other color is Yamamotos #176, Cinnamon with black flake. My brown is too dark and transparent, could there be some white in it? I hope this question is ok, I am not looking for anyones secret color just a suggested solution. Thanks, Greg
alsworms
Hi Greg, The blue in Aaron's Magic is actually a "neon" blue. The best way to make the neon is: start with 2 ounces of plastic; add 4 drops of blue color, 1/4 teaspoon of blue hi-lite powder, and 2 drops of black color. As for Yamamoto's cinnamon, a customer of mine sent me a sample grub in their #176 last year and wanted me to copy it. I discovered that it's just a very light brown. Take regular brown (I call it chocolate or muddy brown) and start with 2 drops of color in 4 ounces of plastic. You can play with it to get your desired clarity. Each drop will make a pretty big difference in the darkness of the color. Also keep in mind that the black flake will make it a bit darker too. There are hundreds of different cinnamon colors out there, and every one of them tend to have a reddish tint. Yamamoto is the only exception. Hope this helps. earthworm77
is this the slightly cloudy light brown Yammie color?
alsworms
Yep - just a light brown. Nothing else. Not a bit of red at all.
