Spreckle
Month and a half and mine still smell strong.... Are you still adding salt as well or is the coffee taking the place of the salt? or is the cofee simply taking the place of the glitter? BassnRandy
I added salt and less black glitter. Only poured green pumpkin and roadkill so far. They really work.
Richard Prager
I used them in trick worms in place of black flake.
CHUCKV309
I poured some different baits with some fresh ground "French Roast" beans. I put some grounds (Tablespoon in half cup) in the baits, but in a couple of days the smell in the plastic was gone:cry: . I put some of the grounds in some panty hose and have been soaking it in worm oil for a week. It is smelling pretty strong, but I wanted my plastic to keep the smell longer. Spreckle
I just made a quick batch of stick worms with coffee instead of black flake and poured some coffee in a bag with the worms and some worm oil. We will see how they work out. Not as strong of a smell as I expected however the scent is noticible. I'll let you know:)
Richard Prager
Did you ground them from beans? That makes a big difference.
Spreckle
Did you ground them from beans? That makes a big difference. No, I used some pre ground beans I had around the house. Maybe I'll give that a shot if it realy makes a difference. Thanks!
bassassazzin
Hey Guys, I am in the final stages of producing a coffee shad oil.....so far so good. It actually smells pretty darn good, but I won't venture with a sip test. I should have it on my website for sale within a few weeks, probably sometime after the first of the year. Biz has been very good overall, have had some awesome testimonials ( catches ) from several guys on my other scents. As for the coffee scent, I have heard of old-timers using coffee grounds in their ground dirt/worms....many a times I have heard of incredible fishing results. I believe it has to do with coffee being a strong scent overall, we're just lucky it isn't offensive to fish:)!!!! longhorn
and I thought I was the one who thought of adding coffee before Strike King. Y'all are way ahead of me....glad to hear the on the water results.
Spike-A-Pike
Is anyone planning to market it as "coffee and doughbait" for the catfish crowd???
BASSV18
I bet Starbucks breakfast blend would be killer in a frog or fluke for the morning bite. Coffe worms sounds crazy but I am going to make some!!!!

bhorlings
I got my order in! I can't wait to see how good it is.
BCBaits
I guess the oil would be better then listening to the lady complain about me using her expensive French vanilla to make worms.
dsmblack
I poured some sticks with fresh ground coffee about 3 weeks ago. They still smell great however the sticks turned the color of the coffee immediately after adding it. I may have added too much. I tried to make green pumpkin. I was using 4 oz plastic and I added 2 tablespoon of coffee.
bassassazzin
Orders have been flying in! Appreciate it guys. Please post feedback on the coffee shad. Randy from Catch a Hawg Handpours said the stuff was very good, but it needed just a bit more kick for strength. I have since upped the coffee. Just a note that I have garlic oil scent which " will not " flare up. Doug Upper Hand Scent-Marinades
bhorlings
I got my scents yesterday. When I opened them up my wife had to pick me up off he floor. That stuff is strong!!!!! I cannot wait to pour with them!
BCBaits
I got mine yesterday. Very strong scent, but mine was super strong fish smell. I couldn't smell anything that smelled like coffee. Although it was a very strong fresh fish smell. Was anyone else's that way too?
bassassazzin
Make sure you shake the bottle well. When I packaged/poured those bottles I smelled a strong coffee aroma..... In fact, I just checked that batch again and it smelled more like coffee than shad? I guess I am just surprised to hear you that you only smell fish? Give it a shake and then pop the cap...it's possible the coffee is settling?
BCBaits
I'll try that tonight, I hadn't tried shaking it much. It was like My lady was cooking fish in my garage it was such a strong smell.
