VANNDALIZER
I have been trying all day to get this stupid thing to pour right. Pre heated the mold, made sure the plastic was really hot. And about every other thing you can think of. The stupid thing still wont fill the whole cavity. I've even tried two different types of plastic. Any suggestions???? Im really confused and frustrated:censored: Thanks, MAV

Delw
Are any of the vent holes plugged up? you don't really have to heat the molds up. If the bad spots are in the same place look to see if you plastic is steaming. if its smoking or steaming and the bad spots are in the same place then its due to gassing. You can try to tilt the mold one way or another, but generally running a little cooler plastic will fix it. If the bad spots are in different spots every time then this would be The pourers error. you might have to pour fast maybe slower then faster, you might not have enough vloume or too much volume. When pouring baits and having problems try to be specific as possible. The plastic hard soft and med will all pour differently,m and give different results and problems in different molds. always give any additives you are adding into it. be specific on were the problem occurs etc. ( left leg right leg, top nose etc.)
Richard Prager
Del, Its a aluminum frog mold from bobs. I've tried everything I know of. MAV Either post a pic of the mold or e-mail it to me. Some of the earlier ones were not vented enough. I could probably pour mine in a bucket of ice cubes and they would fill completely. Predator Bass Baits
Is your plastic hot enough as well ? Does the mold show all the venting like the pictures on Bobs website ? Calhoun plastic is really good stuff but I found it a bit trickier to pour 2 piece molds.
SwampBaits
The way I always poured them was: get the plastic very hot, then for the first 1/3 of the mold pour fairly fast so the legs and feet fill. Then start slowing the pour down so there's not a ton of shrinkage.
GB GONE
I have had Bob's frog mold from the beginning and NEVER have had a partial frog come out EXCEPT when the molds first came out and the venting was not sufficient. you must have an older frog mold as the new ones pour at low temps easily. Bob will vent an older mold if you send it back... Just let him know. Turn around time was a week or less. Jim
VANNDALIZER
Problem solved. It seems I was trying to pour them to quickly. I also found that if I poured directly dowm the center of the spru that they poured with no problens. Thanks again for all the help.
