Gloomisman
anyone know if this will pour in a pop mold?
GB GONE
I'm sure if you made the mold right and vented the claws, you could make a nice 2 piece pop mold. Not sure about the hollow inside though.. Hmmmm.... Jim
dampeoples
Couldn't you take the idea from the tube mold like Del sells, and kind of make it like that? No sure how that would work in POP, though.
GB GONE
True...easiest thing would be to just not worry about the "tube" area and let it fill up. Sure you could do it with enough vents... Jim
dampeoples
For that LC sells a mold, it's just got a flat side, though. I've not used one as anything but a trailer, where a hollow inside wouldn't mean much to me, though.
Delw
for a hollow one just modify the mold to take a rod and pour around it. I also use them for jig trailers only as well
Gloomisman
What about the jig trailer they make? I like the rod through the mold idea.
Delw
I think Ghost was saying he used the paca craw as a jig trailer. Thats what I do Delw
jmik26
I would follow Jims advice, make sure its vented. Without the vents I don't think it will work. We got a craw mold with huge flappy claws that is a PITA to fill even injecting it, and it has about 10 vents per cavity. Let us know how it works out for you...Jeff
GB GONE
I like flipping them things too. I was looking at one just a little while ago and i am not sure it would work even with vents all over. The thin parts that connect to the body might clog before the claws fill. I might have to try to make one just to see if I can!! Jim
