Indigo Dragonfly

This is my Indigo Dragonfly. It is one of three colors I tie for friends and family. I am a disabled veteran and began tying flies for therapy a little over a year ago. I had been studying my local entomology looking for ideas to try to mimic. Our local dragonflies peaked my interest and the hunt was on for the right materials to mimic these awesome insects. Thankfully, I found nearly everything I needed from Anglers Workbench. They are always so helpful and allow me to stop in to pick io my orders personally. I took these pictures at the very spot that inspired me to in the first place.

This is a crane fly larvae tied with Virtual Nymph skin and color added with Prisma Color Markers. Has been very successful on native brook trout.
