leafmatter
I just recieved a catalog of a spincasting mob called tekcast. pretty dear to start but looks very impressive and they also seem to offer mould making services. www.tekcast.com
Bite-Me
bassman I have a tekcast machine. It will cost a pretty penny!!You won't be able to pour 50-100 jigs at a time unless you have 3-4 machines.Depending on the jig you're making and size maybe you could do 30.But then it also depends on hook size, weedguard etc. The complete system with 160lb lead pot and the ability to make your own molds will be over 11-12,000.00 dollars. Also you would have to buy lead from a metal manufacturer because tire weights or pure lead pipe etc. is too thick. You would have to run your lead too hot and burn out your molds to soon.I pour my jigs at 575-625 degrees now.I hope this helps in your decision. I'm new to the board so I hope this turned out ok. Bite-Me
reeves
looking for for a commercial jig machineBassman, as Bite-Me said the cost is pretty steep to get new equipment. I purchased used equipment for just over 4K and it took me the best part of a year to learn how to use it as I had no contacts in this area, so it was all trial and error. An alternative to spending that kind of money, would be to contact one of the companies that do spincasting and let them produce for you, the cost is not prohibitive at all. If you need names and numbers, I would be glad to supply them to you. Good Luck George Reeves H & P Tackle Welch, OK

dtrs5kprs
Might check with these folks. They run ads in Fishing Tackle Retailer offering casting services. Have not used that service, but have seen their product at the KC sports show. http://www.mineralspringslureco.com/
