Question for you experts

Recommended Posts

I am very interested in getting started in pouring my own plastics! Does anyone know has the most reasonable prices? Also this maybe a dumb question but , is it not possible to melt down your old used plastics and re-pore them? If so what is the best way to do that?

Welcome Tinmar....

You need to take some time to look over the site and read a LOT of posts. Most questions have been answered here a few times. The TU search function is GREAT!!! Just go to search forums and you will be off!!!

Jim is right. I had the same questions and he lead me the right way. Just go to the tool bar under T U SEARCH and enter your topic. You will find everything you need there. There are kits to get you started so check it all out.

There are a few Soft Plastic Gurus in this site and ALL of them will help you any way they can.

My hats off to Jim, AL, Frank ( Senko Sam ) Mojo and many others..... 2 thumbs up to y'all

Tinmar: I just started pouring plastics this past weekend, and it is addictive. I bought a starter kit from Del-Mart. Del and April at Del-Mart really impressed me with the service aspect of helping me work thru some shipping issues. I would recommend dealing with them; and no, I do not have any ties to Del-Mart. I would suggest getting a stick mold to begin with, and working your way up to more difficult pours. The kit gives you everything you will need to get addicted. This site is also a great tool. The people on here are terrific people, and are great at answering questions. I had a ton of questions, and every one was answered here. Good luck, and remember always ask questions. Saint.
