ragfly Posted December 10, 2005 Report Share Posted December 10, 2005 I just wanted to introduce myself . I am interesting in pouring my own rubber especially ones like lunker city's Fin-s fish. I use them alot and go through quite a few of them in a season. They are starting to get pricey so I thought pouring them myself would not only be cheaper but fun. I tie my own flies, have built some rods, pour my own lead jig heads. Ok here is my first question what type of mold do I get (or make) to pour the Fin-s type fish? I know a lot of guys will tell you to get a mold from lurecraft or to make your own to save money, but if you can afford an aluminum one, you can't beat the quality or durability. They start at $40.
